During your leisure period, explore vibrant markets and restaurants, and stroll around Phewa Lake, observing the activities of people such as cycling and boating. You will meet your trekking guide and fellow hikers to discuss the next day’s travel.

Day 2: Drive to Ghandruk [1945 m] and trek to Chhomrong [2170 m].

Wake up early in the morning with the sunrise, and make your way towards Ghandruk, a beautiful Gurung village, where you will find several traditional homestays in a serene atmosphere. As you reach there after a drive of 3 to 4 hours, take a rest for a while and begin the hike. Leaving Ghandruk behind, head north, following the trails alongside the pasturelands, and descend to a lush valley, where the Kimrong Khola awaits you to cross it through a suspension bridge. Afterward, the trekking path takes you up the hillside via dense forests of rhododendrons and oaks. When you reach nearby Chhomrong, you will get awe-inspiring vistas of the majestic Himalayas.
