The Everest Base Camp trek is a bucket-list adventure and a journey of a lifetime. This 16 days backpacking trip in the Himalayas of Nepal takes you to the base of the tallest mountain in the world, Mount Everest.

Following the iconic Everest Base Camp trek route, you will embark on an incredible expedition, conquering the most celebrated trekking destination in the world. It is not just a hike but a transformative journey, so lace up your boots and get ready to experience the wilderness and magic of the Himalayas!

You will begin the Everest Base Camp trek 16 days trip with your arrival in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. Spend a day just relaxing in the city, obtaining necessary EBC permits, and preparing/shopping for the trek. On day three, you will fly to Lukla and begin trekking with your guide and porter.

The Everest Base Camp trek route will leave you speechless with its natural wonders and untamed beauty. As you trek through dense rhododendron forests and beautiful Sherpa villages, you can see a glimpse of towering snow-capped peaks pierce the sky. The never-ending uphill climbing along lush hills will present the vastness of the Himalayas.

As you trek, you can instantly feel the disconnection from everyday chaotic city life. The gradual pace of trekking will allow you to unwind and introspect. Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu [1,338m] Transfer to the Hotel.

We provide free airport pick-up service on your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport. Our team will welcome you at the airport and drop you off at the hotel in Thamel / Kathmandu. If you have any questions, you can ask them. The remaining day is free in the city. Explore the bustling streets of Thamel.

Day 2: Rest dy in Kathmandu. [1,338m] "B".

You have a full free day in Kathmandu. prepare for trekking.

Day 3: Drive to Ramechhap (Manthali) Mountain Flight to Lukla [2,810 m], Trek to Phakdaing [2,610 m/8,563 ft ] "B,L,D". (Trek 03-04 Hrs). (Oct-Nov and March-

You will start trekking today. First of all, take a short morning flight to Lukla. The flight will be scenic. From Lukla, you will start descending to Phakding village for the night stay.The trail goes along the Dudh Koshi River through rhododendrons and magnolia forests. You will cross many suspension bridges on the way & also pass by small settlements like Ghat and Cheplung.

Day 4: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar via Monjo (2,835 m/9,301 ft)

From Phakding, you will begin the journey toward Namche Bazaar, the tourist hub of the Khumbu region. The trail goes through the rhododendron forest, crossing numerous hanging bridges.You will trek via settlements like Toktok and Bengkar before reaching Monjo. Register the permits here and start officially walking inside the Sagarmatha National Park. The trail steeply ascends to Namche Bazaar.

Day 5: Acclimatation day in Namche Bazaar. Hike to Everest View Hotel or Khumjung Village (3,790 m/12,434 ft)

Take an acclimatization break in Namche Bazaar before hiking further. In the morning, hike to Hotel Everest View and Khumjung village. The hike helps you avoid altitude sickness and presents stunning mountain views of Thamserku, Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Am Dablam.Hotel Everest View is one of the highest luxury hotels in the world. Likewise, in Khumjung village, you will explore the ancient Khumjung monastery and the Edmund Hillary School.

Day 6: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche Monastery

The trail from Namche Bazaar follows uneven hillsides to Kyangjuma. From here, descend to Phungi Thanga and follow an uphill route to Tengboche village. You will visit Tengboche monastery here and get to see a superb view of Mt. Everest and Mt. Ama Dablam from here.

Day 7: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche

Leaving Tengboche, you will descend for 45 minutes via lush forests to Deboche village. The trail then further drops to Imja Khola. Crossing a suspension bridge, walk up to Pangboche village.Have a quick visit to Pangboche monastery and continue ascending to Dingboche village. Dingboche is known as the summery valley of the Khumbu region with farming fields.

Day 8: Acclimatization day- hike to Chhukung Valley

You will take a second rest day in Dingboche village. Hike to Chhukung Valley early in the morning. It is one of the less visited parts of the Khumbu region. You will enjoy tranquil, offbeat trails. Witness wonderful mountain views of Makalu, Cho Oyu, Island Peak, Ama Dablam, Everest, Lhotse, Cholatse, etc, during the hike.

Day 9: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche via Dughla Pass (4,830 m/15,846 ft)

Dingboche onwards, you will traverse the higher trails. Leave the treeline behind and follow a steep track to Thukla. From here, the trail ascends to Dughla Pass and continues along the Khumbu Glacier to Lobuche village. You will see memorial chortens of dead Sherpas and climbers on the way. The landscape is much more barren and secluded.

Day 10: Trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,164 m/16,942 ft) to Everest Base Camp and back to Gorak Shep for a night's stay

Start trekking early from Lobuche village. Gradually ascend via the Khumbu Glacier moraine and follow rocky, steep trails. Soon, you will reach Gorak Shep, where you will spend this night.From Gorak Shep, you will hike to the Everest Base Camp. Explore the base camp and have a close view of the Khumbu Icefall. After enjoying some time at the base camp, return to Gorak Shep.

Day 11: Hike to Kala Patthar early in the morning and trek down to Pheriche (4,371 m/14,340 ft)

Before sunrise, you will start hiking to the Kala Patthar. On the mid-way, you can see golden rays of sun on the snow-capped surrounding mountains. The scenery will be enchanting.From Kala Patthar, witness a breathtaking view of Mt. Everest and many other mountains. After the hike, you will retrace the trail to Gorak Shep and follow the same route to Dughla. From here, the trail turns to Pheriche village.

Day 12: Trek from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m/11,290 ft)

Trekking from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar, you will pass by the secluded route. Trek through small villages and lush forests. Witness lovely landscapes on the way.

Day 13: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla

From Namche Bazaar, you will follow the same trail back to Lukla. First, descend to Phakdig village. From Phakding, the trail ascends to Lukla via lush rhododendron forests.

Day 14: Morning flight back to Kathmandu from Lukla airport.

An early morning flight will take you back to Kathmandu or Ramechhap airport. Upon landing, drive to your hotel. You will be accompanied by your guide. The remaining day is free in the city. Rest and enjoy your time. If you feel extremely tired, visit spa or massage centers.

Day 15: Free day in Kathmandu

You have a full free day in Kathmandu. This is a good time to explore the Monkey Temple, Kathmandu Durbar Square, and Patan Durbar Square. Likewise, this is your last day, so do not forget to buy souvenirs. Window shopping in Thamel is quite famous among foreigners.

Day 16: Trip ends! Fly back home with memories to cherish forever
