Before the construction of Lukla Airport, several trekkers used the same routes for trekking, climbing, and expeditions. Enjoy walking through magnificent landscapes with gradual ascents while experiencing Sherpa’s unique Himalayan culture and warm hospitality with Nepalese cuisines.

After an adventurous ride to Jiri from Kathmandu, the path of the Everest Base Camp via Jiri passes through wonderful middle-hills countryside, quaint villages, Buddhist monasteries, and monuments before linking up with the main Everest Base Camp trail at Phakding along the riverside of the Dudh Koshi River in the Khumbu Valley. You get a golden opportunity to capture majestic peaks such as Lhotse, Nuptse, Amadablam, Pumori, Thamserku, etc., on the way. While proceeding to Namche Bazaar, a bustling Sherpa town, you'll witness endangered flora and fauna as you trek through some sections of Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site of Nepal, and Gauri Shankar National Park.

The most anticipated day is reaching Everest Base Camp (EBC) at 5364m, passing numerous high settlements like Tengboche, Namche, Dengboche, and Loboche, and exploring the Tengboche monastery. After returning from EBC, the trail takes you to Kalapatthar (5545 m), an ideal vantage point for panoramic vistas of mountain giants, sunrises, and sunsets over the Himalayas, creating a glorious atmosphere for photography. Our Jiri to Everest Base Camp Trek itinerary concludes the official trek at Namchebazar after climbing down from Kala Patthar via Pherich. The next morning, a scenic flight of 40-45 minutes from Tenzing Hillary Airport in Lukla brings you back to Kathmandu Valley.
