The luxury Everest Base Camp trek 14 days is a fully organized trip. You will start the journey by exploring historical sites in Kathmandu and packing/shopping for the trek. Take a 45 minutes scenic helicopter flight to Lukla and start trekking. The trail is the same as the standard EBC trek, but you will spend nights in luxury lodges.

Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel

Meet the Adventure Treks Nepal team at the international airport. You can find them with your nameplate or our company banner. They will welcome you to Nepal and transfer you to the hotel. If you have any questions, you can ask them. The remaining day is free in the city. Explore the bustling streets of Thamel.

Day 2: Full-day sightseeing tour of Bhaktapur, Pashupatinath, and Boudhanath

You will spend the first half of the day exploring some tourist sites with one of our professional tour guides. You will visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, and Bouddhnath Stupa. You will learn about the Nepali people and their cultural heritage, art, and architecture. Likewise, you will explore local markets around the monuments.After the tour, return to the hotel and get some rest. We spend the late afternoon/evening preparing for the luxury EBC trek. Meet with your mountain guide and learn about the trail. You can do any last-minute shopping and pack the duffel bag.

Day 3: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla in a helicopter and trek to Phakding

Early in the morning, you will take a comfortable and safe helicopter flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. During the flight, you will see stunning mountain views and an aerial panorama of Kathmandu Valley. Upon landing in Lukla, porters will join you. You will start descending to Phakding village. The trail crosses numerous hanging bridges and goes through rhododendron forests and small villages.

Day 4: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar via Monjo (2,835 m/9,301 ft)

From Phakding, you will begin the journey toward Namche Bazaar, the tourist hub of the Khumbu region. The trail goes through the rhododendron forest, crossing numerous hanging bridges.You will trek via settlements like Toktok and Bengkar before reaching Monjo. Register the permits here and start officially walking inside the Sagarmatha National Park. The trail steeply ascends to Namche Bazaar.

Day 5: Acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar: hike to Everest View Hotel or Khumjung Village (3,790 m/12,434 ft)

Take an acclimatization break in Namche Bazaar before hiking further. In the morning, hike to Hotel Everest View and Khumjung village. The hike helps you avoid altitude sickness and presents stunning mountain views of Thamserku, Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Am Dablam.Hotel Everest View is one of the highest luxury hotels in the world. Likewise, you will explore the ancient Khumjung monastery and the Edmund Hillary School in Khumjung village.

Day 6: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche Monastery

The trail from Namche Bazaar follows uneven hillsides to Kyangjuma. From here, descend to Phungi Thanga and follow an uphill route to Tengboche village. You will visit Tengboche monastery here and get to see a superb view of Mt. Everest and Mt. Ama Dablam from here.

Day 7: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche

The trail descends from Tengboche village for 45 minutes to Deboche. From here, you will further descend to Imja Khola and cross a bridge. From here, walk up to Pangboche village. Up to this point, you will walk in rhododendron forests. Pangboche onwards, the treeline gets sparse, and you will walk past terraced fields to Dingboche village.

Day 8: Acclimatization day- hike to Chhukung Valley

This is your second acclimatization day in Dingboche village. You have hiking options to Nagarjuna Hill and Chhukung Valley. Wherever you hike, the trail will be offbeat. You will witness stunning mountain views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Island Peak, Ama Dablam, Cho Oyu, etc.

Day 9: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche via Dughla Pass (4,930 m/16,174 ft)

Leaving Dingoche, you will traverse a glacier field and gradually ascend to Dughla Pass. From here, follow the Khumbu Glacier moraine and walk past the memorial chortens. You will see the Lobuche village, situated at the base of Lobuche Peak.

Day 10: Trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,164 m/16,942 ft) to Everest Base Camp and back to Gorak Shep for a night's stay

Keep trekking alongside the Khumbu Glacier moraine and hike to Gorak Shep. The terrain is rocky and steep. You will leave your luggage in a lodge at Gorak Shep and continue ascending from here to the Everest Base Camp. Spend some time at the base camp and return to Gorak Shep for the night.

Day 11: Hike to Kala Patthar in the morning and descend to Pheriche (4,371 m/14,340 ft)

Before the sunrise, hike to Kala Patthar. Witness a beautiful sunrise from here, along with a jaw-dropping view of Mount Everest and many other snow-covered mountains. After enjoying the vistas, you will return to Gorak Shep and retrace the trail to Dughla. From here, follow a different route to Pheriche village.

Day 12: Fly from Pheriche to Kathmandu in a helicopter

Today, you will take a thrilling and comfortable helicopter flight from Pheriche to Kathmandu. During the flight, you will enjoy heavenly aerial panoramas of the villages and mountains. Upon landing in Kathmandu, the guide will drop you off at the hotel. You will have the remaining day free in the city.

Day 13: Free day in Kathmandu

Today, you get a full free day in Kathmandu. Rest and explore local markets. Visit tourist sites and shop for souvenirs. You can also combine a guided tour in your package. Likewise, you can visit galleries, clubs, bars, etc. Spend as you wish.

Day 14: Trip ends! Fly back home with memories to cherish forever

Your trip with us ends here. We will drop you at the international airport terminal gate and bid you our last goodbye.
